“Honor the Lord with your wealth, with first fruits of all your produce.” – Proverbs 3:9
The Parish Finance Council is tasked with assisting the pastor in ensuring good governance of the parish. In addition, the Finance Council helps to foster accountability and transparency – especially with financial matters – to the archdiocese as well as to all members of the parish.
Stewardship is another area of focus for the Finance Council. By assisting the pastor in a consultative role with managing the goods and resources of the parish, future sustainability – as well as the financial health of the parish – can be assured.
Parish Finance Council members have a love for the Church and her mission. They are active members of the parish and desire to help foster and practice good stewardship in accordance with the Gospel. Moreover, finance council members have experience and expertise in business administration, finance, or other disciplines that enable them to share their gifts and talents in the healthy governance of the parish.
