Our choir helps enhance the Liturgy (Mass) and helps people pray. Members deliver quality music for the liturgy, attend weekly rehearsal practice on a consistent basis, perform any task assigned by the Pastor and PPC/Liturgy Committee in preparation for liturgy masses, present annual or semi-annual outreach activities (such as a mini-concert at the St. Agnes nursing home), and perform the annual Christmas Concert in the church.
The Choir performs at weekly Sunday (9:30 AM) Masses, Christmas, Easter (Triduum) Masses, and other masses as needed. Rehearsals are on Sundays after the morning mass, from 11:00 AM to 12:oo noon, at least 3 times each month.
Those who wish to sing should be able to carry a tune, love to sing, and have a good ability to blend their voice with others. Accompanists must be able to play an appropriate musical instrument (guitar, piano, flute, violin, keyboard, organ, etc.) and follow the conductor. Both will require 10-minute auditions.
Members will undergo Virtus training, including musical training (voice & music reading) during Choir practices. If you have a desire to serve, view the choir as an opportunity to grow, deepen, and strengthen your faith, and are passionate in praising God should feel welcome to join!
