RCIA (English)

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)’s goal is to communicate the “basics of the faith” within a consistent “vision of the faith.” It is meant to assist those entering the Church who are older than the age of infant baptism. RCIA gradually introduces to new members aspects of Catholic belief and practice.

Volunteers are expected to assist candidates in understanding each topic under study, for 1½ hours each Sunday for 6 months, between late September and the Easter Vigil. We will provide Virtus training, but we ask that applicants have a strong desire to serve as a Catechist for the love of God, are Catechist certified or working towards certification, and can pass a background check. If you are a practicing Catholic who loves both to teach and evangelize for the love of God, please consider joining RCIA.
