We firmly believe in the sacredness of all human life, from the moment of conception through natural death. We work as a group under the guidance of our pastor to assist our parish to nurture a reflect life spirit according to the teaching of our Catholic faith, and to promote a respect life culture in our community.
The Respect Life organization is the conduit linking the St. Therese Parish with the Archdiocese of Chicago in matters related to Respect Life issues. Typical activities include developing Respect Life news and inserts for use in our parish weekly bulletins. We also sponsor Respect Life liturgy petitions and special prayer vigils/holy hours in the parish. We promote Respect Life-related legislative actions through phone trees and/or contacting legislators. We also help and interact with other Respect Life projects and teams in the Archdiocese and other parishes. Our organization also sends representatives to attend the Archdiocesan and Vicariate Respect Life Masses, meetings, and retreats. We typically meet for 1-2 hour monthly meetings in the church.
