Dear friends:

+ 2009 Archdiocesan Annual Catholic Appeal : “...Do all for the glory of God.” (1 Cor. 10:31)

You have already received a mailing from Cardinal George asking that Catholics throughout the Archdiocese make a pledge to the 2009 Annual Catholic Appeal.

The Annual Catholic Appeal not only funds the operations of the Archdiocese, it provides services which support many of the ministries offered in and through the Catholic parishes of Cook and Lake Counties.
Its success depends upon the gifts given by each of us to support the Archdiocese. These gifts  enable the Church to reach beyond their parish boundaries in service to the communities in which we live and where our Churches are located.

Brochures about the 2009 Annual Catholic Appeal will remain available here at St. Therese during the three weeks of the Appeal. Please take a moment and review the information it contains.           . .
Pledge forms, envelopes and pencils will also be available to you until the end of the Appeal. If you choose to make your pledge, I would encourage you to identify "St. Therese Chinese Church" as the Church you want given credit for your contribution.

What we do for the good of God’s people is what glorifies God. ( More information in the attached article)

+ Parish Council

It will be held this coming Mon. February 16th at the Parish Hall at 7:00PM to be over by 8:30pm when we shall have a short Finance Council Meeting (30 minutes) to finalize the 2009-10 Church Budget. Please see the attached Agenda.

+Gratitude:

With last Saturday Banquet at Furama, the Lunar New Year celebrations came to an end and we are getting ready for the approaching Lenten Season.

My gratitude to all those generous donors, organizers and helpers that work so hard to make of the two events a success.

I have attached the list of those who worked at the celebration in Church; for the school side we shall have the list on next Church Bulletin as soon as it is made available to me.

+ Mandarin Classes:

The 8/08/08 Beijing Olympic Games Had China and whatever is Chinese under the spot lights increasing the curiosity for this dormant giant. St Therese Church is proud to announce that as from March 1st we shall provide on conversional Mandarin classes  on Sundays. For more information read the attached  flyer a
